M12 power connectors for AGV warehouse robots, 1,000 units/month for a startup.
A Shenzhen startup focused on warehouse AGV robots, with a team of about 20. Their AGVs used lithium battery packs connected via high-current terminal blocks — hard to plug/unplug, no keying (workers sometimes reversed polarity and blew fuses), and assembly became a bottleneck as volume grew.
We recommended M12 S-coded 3-pin power connectors with 2+PE design and keyed coding. Rated 12A for AGV charging needs, IP67 for warehouse environments. Workers immediately found them easier to use with zero polarity errors.
Starting from 500 units, the customer gradually converted all 3 AGV models to M12 power interfaces. Now supplying 1,000/month, and they plan to design forthcoming models around the M12 standard. Volume is modest but growing steadily.
