An electronics factory uses M8 connectors for drone buzzer testers
A Shenzhen electronics factory developed an automatic buzzer tester for drone component suppliers. The tester verifies whether buzzer frequency and volume meet specifications. They originally used pogo pins for contact — but the irregular buzzer housing caused inconsistent pin contact position, leading to frequent false rejects (good units failing) and false passes (bad units passing).
We replaced the pogo pin approach with M8 3-pin connectors. An M8 receptacle was installed on the test fixture, and each buzzer connected via a dedicated adapter. Contact position and pressure became consistent every time, eliminating false readings entirely.
The first 200 units delivered were well received. Regular monthly replenishment followed. While the per-unit value is modest, the customer says this solution solved their most painful testing problem — fewer false rejects actually improved overall production efficiency.
