A Shenzhen smart locker company makes parcel lockers, fresh-food lockers, and meal pickup cabinets. Each compartment has a door sensor. Originally reed switches were soldered directly to the control board — replacing a failed sensor required disassembly and soldering, and inconsistent solder quality caused false door alarms starting in the third month.
We recommended M8 3-pin panel-mount connectors inside each door. Sensors now connect via these connectors — swapping a failed unit takes seconds with no soldering. Pre-assembly at the factory and plug-and-play on-site installation became possible.
