A Guangzhou vending machine maker produces about 3,000 units yearly. Their original wiring used loose wires run directly to sensors and controllers — messy and hard to troubleshoot. Nearly 8% of machines needed on-site service after delivery, half due to loose connections.
We designed a standardized harness solution: each functional module (dispensing motors, refrigeration, sensors, payment, display) got a pre-made harness with M12 A-coded connectors at both ends. Assembly workers now simply plug each module in.
Results: assembly efficiency up 40%, first-pass yield from 92% to 99%, field service rate below 1%. They previously needed two people for wiring per order — now one person handles it. Current volume: 2,000 sets/month, steady cooperation.
